Warren Wolf, Vibraphone
(Headliner for 63rd Mid-South Jazz Festival)
“Baltimore’s Warren Wolf is an acclaimed jazz vibraphonist known for his sophisticated, exploratory, nearly acrobatic post-bop style that moved one critic to exclaim that “he plays the vibraphone like an electric guitar!” Since 2005, he has been recording as a leader and touring with his own groups. His debut, Incredible Jazz Vibes for , garnered attention from critics all over the globe.”

Amernet Quartet

“Praised for their “intelligence” and “immensely satisfying” playing by the New York Times, the Amernet String Quartet has garnered recognition as one of today’s exceptional string quartets and are Ensemble-in-Residence at Florida International University in Miami. Their sound has been called “complex” but with an “old world flavor.” Strad Magazine described the Amernet as “…a group of exceptional ability.”
Lisette Oropesa, Soprano
